Dear Drury family,

A lot of changes have occurred at Drury in the last few months, and you read about some of these changes in this special edition of the Drury Magazine. The academic year may not have ended like we anticipated, but there is one thing we can always count on: the Drury family. This network of students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who all work together like a traditional family in good times and in difficult times are the heart of the university. The Drury family has come together in big ways and small ways to meet the immediate needs of our students and to position the university to meet the needs of an everchanging world in the future.

The pandemic has caused major disruptions in the lives of our students. These disruptions have come in various forms, ranging from financial strains to fears and uncertainties. In many cases, the Drury family has stepped forward to provide encouragement and support. Faculty and staff members have called students on a regular basis to check on them. Donors
have contributed to the Annual Drury Experience Fund for scholarships and financial aid and to a new COVID-19 Student Support Fund to provide emergency grants to students who have experienced unanticipated financial hardship as a result of the pandemic. Alumni have mentored students and provided encouragement to our new graduates.

Together, we are meeting the challenges of today and we are preparing for the future. We are working to finish the funding for one of the most exciting and innovative projects for Drury students in several years, a new Enterprise Center. In addition to serving as a home to the Breech School of Business and the Department of Political Science and International Affairs, this facility will provide high-tech collaboration spaces and classrooms for all students. It will directly support many key initiatives, like our new comprehensive advising program – the Compass Center – innovation, interdisciplinary problem solving and experiential learning.

Never has there been a more important time to help Drury move forward, help our students and feel the excitement of being a part of the movement. Thank you for all that you do for Drury. Thank you for being a part of the Drury family!

Your support means so much,
